Updated: Dec 9, 2019

Dr Christian Harrison, lecturer and programme leader of the MSc Leadership and Management in the School of Business and Creative Industries and a member of the Centre for African Research on Enterprise and Economic Development (CAREED) was invited by the Scottish Government Directors and Officials to deliver a lecture on Leadership on the 22nd of November, 2019 in their Main Building in Glasgow.

The Scottish Government is the devolved government for Scotland and has a range of responsibilities that include: the economy, education, health, justice, rural affairs, housing, environment, equal opportunities, consumer advocacy and advice, transport and taxation. It has over 30 directorates with its main buildings in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Dr Christian said: “I am delighted that I was invited by the Scottish Government Directors to deliver a lecture on leadership. In today’s vastly complex and evolving world, effective leadership is required to combat change and identify opportunities. This is important in the creation of social and economic value in any nation especially Scotland. I am happy about the numerous positive feedback that I received from the directors and officials as they found it very useful and were able to critically reflect on their approach to leadership and identify areas for improvement”.
